This is not a late-night town — Folks go home early, as many live far from the very-expensive downtown core and public transportation is quite slow (more on that, next).

MUNI kinda blows — The city’s main public transit system was clearly not designed for the daily influx that San Francisco now experiences. If you need to take MUNI to work or a meeting during rush hour, factor in extra time to get there, as trains are often delayed, crowded, and always have too few cars to accommodate all the passengers.

SFO actually has excellent art — SFO is a rare airport with its own museum. Look for interesting exhibits across terminals and A+ public art scattered throughout.
